Southco
Distributing Company was established
on February 18, 1981 with the
purchase of Southern Wholesale
Company. After twenty-five years
with the company, serving as its
President and co-owner since 1981,
Sherwin Herring purchased the
company in March 1996.
In October of
2004, Southco moved into a new
220,000 square foot distribution
facility located at 2201 South John
Street in Goldsboro, NC. Southco
regularly employs over 200.
The U. S.
Distribution Journal has
consistently ranked Southco
Distributing Company in the top 25
of Convenience Store Distributors in
the United States. Also, Business
North Carolina has steadily ranked
Southco Distributing Company in the
top 30 in the State of North
Carolina among privately owned
businesses.
Our current
sales and distribution territories
include North Carolina, South
Carolina, West Virginia, Virginia,
Tennessee, Georgia, and Ohio. All
shipments originate from our
Goldsboro facility.
